Love is in the air, or rather, in the U.S. Supreme Court as they hear two cases involving same-sex marriage this week. In the spirit of boys-on-boys, we present you with our favorite Hollywood bromances and their opinions on marriage equality.
But before we geek out on these bromances let's quickly talk about what's going on in the Supreme Court. The two cases are "about the constitutionality of two laws in the same-sex marriage debate." The first case, which they discussed yesterday, is regarding California's Proposition 8, which defines marriage in California as only between a man and a woman. The second case today, is the federal Defense of Marriage Act, better known as DOMA. It was signed into law in 1996 and "defines marriage as only between a man and a woman. It forbids the recognition of same-sex marriages nationwide and bars married gay and lesbian couples from receiving federal benefits."
As we wrote earlier today, "The Supreme Court might issue one ruling for both cases, or separate rulings for each. And if you're looking at a timeline, we may not know how the Court will rule until June." Here's hoping that #MarriageEquality becomes a hashtag of the past. With that said, let's breakdown these lovely bromances and how they're standing up for marriage equality too!
+ A Very Dapper Bromance: JT & Jay-Z

If Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z got married, I'm pretty sure both would wear a "Suit & Tie" to the ceremony. No veils here, Jay is openly in favor of marriage equality, saying, "What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love." Justin shared a similar opinion in a past interview, saying, "We should be using our differences to bring ourselves closer together. You know? Not be afraid of something that we don't know."
+ Voices In Unity: Adam Levine & Blake Shelton

If Adam Levine were gay, I'd so get a sex change. Between these two "The Voice" bromantics, Adam is the most outspoken for marriage equality. He once said that "people should be allowed to succeed and fail at marriage as they so desire" -- mocking the fact more straight couples divorce every year than same-sex couples. Also, fun fact: Adam's brother is gay! If you want to see Adam talking more about marriage equality, check out our interview with him below!
+ From Sea To Shining Sea: Pauly D & Vinny

"Jersey Shore" almost lovers Vinny and Pauly D share the same mantra as many of my gay friends: Gym. Tan. Laundry. "I'm happy to merge the two worlds together," Vinny said of being an ally of the gay community at the 2012 GLAAD Media Awards.
+ The Eternal Bromance: Ben Affleck & Matt Damon

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon grew up together IRL, and came up together in Hollywood. Just yesterday, Ben Tweeted his support for marriage equality. Matt also recently acknowledged our changing society, saying, "There have been great signs of progress -- the fact that Anderson Cooper and Ellen DeGeneres can come out so beautifully and powerfully, and it's a big f--king deal."
