Malala Yousafzai is already an education activist and a hero for girls' rights, but now she's also going to be an author. "I Am Malala" is due out this autumn, and we can't wait to read it.

Explaining the reasons behind the book (which reportedly has put $3 million dollars in Malala's bank account), the teen changemaker said, "I want to tell my story, but it will also be the story of 61 million children who can't get education. I want it to be part of the campaign to give every boy and girl the right to go to school. It is their basic right."

While you wait to be able to curl up with Malala's book, here are three groups you can get involved with to help those 61 million kids get an education.

+ Pencils of Promise

Pencils of Promise starts from the beginning by literally building schools. After that, they provide curriculum, Sister School programs, and scholarships for kids who need them. PoP makes sure to hire local staff to make the situation self-sustaining, and it gets mega support from Justin Bieber and Malala fan Sophia Bush.

+ She's the First

She's the First works to get girls education in the developing world, and many of their girls are the first to graduate in their fams. There are all sorts of ways you can get involved, from sponsoring a girl to getting your school involved to baking cupcakes for education!

+ Girls Learn International

Girls Learn International empowers young people to make a difference by pairing American middle and high schools with schools in countries where girls need more access to education. If your school gets involved, you'll be able to talk to the girls at your partner school and find specific and useful ways to help them.
