Her link leads you to a collection of men and women in uniform just getting back to their fams. Many of the soldiers are holding their children or just about to pick them up. Many are also holding or about to hold their husband, wife, BFor GF. You can see what a diff getting rid of Don't Ask Don't Tell has made, since these pics show more than one example of a soldier being open about their same-sex relationship. One soldier also gets greeted by his dog . . . hey, dogs are fam, too!

Most of the pics show people just being happy, though there are a few teary eyes. If you're feeling touched by these photos and would like to brighten the lives of soldiers when they're not with their fams, there are a few things you can do. How about you write to the troops to say thank you or other words of support? If you have a bit of money to spare, you can buy them gifts through the USO Wishbook, like giving phone calls home so they can speak with their loved ones. You can even donate to let a soldier record a bedtime story on DVD for their kid. Awwww x's 100.
