The Wanted and One Direction may be boy band rivals, but both Brit groups have put their differences aside to support Enough Food for Everyone's IF campaign. Backed by tons of other celebs like Rita Ora and Orlando Bloom, the IF campaign asks us to ask world leaders to put a stop to world hunger.
If there's enough food in the world for everyone, why do one in eight people go hungry every day? (One in three children in Sub-Saharan Africa!) This is the question posed by the IF campaign along with four solutions to end world hunger. The solutions include using land for food not fuel, teaching the poor to gather food sources, and encouraging individuals, corporations, and governments to give more to those in need. One Direction, Orlando Bloom, and many other familiar faces teamed up with the campaign to make this moving video:
It's pretty ironic that a video about ending world hunger made me extremely hungry...for boys with accents, that is. If you want to join the IF campaign in feeding the hungry, you can start by spreading awareness among your family, friends, and internet stalkers. Let everyone know that world hunger is a problem that we can solve together. You can also add your name to the list of campaign supporters to show world leaders just how many people support the cause. The big dogs will be stroking each other's egos discussing global issues in June, so we've gotta start a movement before then. Take action below to make your voice heard.
