Haters gon' hate. Especially when you're about to premiere your own LIVE from New York comedy show on...NBC MTV! Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer's namesake show, "Nikki & Sara LIVE" airs tonight at 11/10c. But with this awesome success...comes something we've all dealt with: FRENEMIES.
But before I go into frenemies and stuff let's talk about these two ladies. First things, first: Nikki and Sara have paid their dues. The duo has been hosting an addicting podcast since 2010, called "You Had To Be There." They've also been performing comedy for a minute. Nikki was a contestant on "Last Comic Standing" back in the day and Sara has won not one but two Emmys as Jimmy Fallon's head blogger. Guess how many Emmys I won when I was Alicia Keys' head blogger? NONE.
And they also know not one but two comedians that I made out with so there's that too.
Sara and Nikki are legit funny. Pretty much the exact opposite of being forced to watch your OKCupid date's fraternity brother perform stand-up somewhere in Times Square. And not like "Ohhh they're funny for girls." BTW, why do people still say that ish? Nikki and Sara are hilarious and you totally want to be their BFF's. I want to compare them to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler but I have a feeling that other sites and publications have done the same thing, so I won't.
They also have the ballz to ask people on the street questions like, How do I know if I have Chlamydia? Why are you living this lie? Kittens yawning or puppies stretching? Oh and they're ballzy enough to attempt to poison Conan O'Brien to eliminate the late night show competition. Talk about frenemies!
With all the excitement and well wishes of a new show on national TV comes newfound critics and jealousy too. Diddy recently Instagrammed some words of wisdom on haters. But we're not all Diddy so I asked the girls how to deal with a frenemy. Pardon the "Office Space" setting in the video!
+ Watch Nikki & Sara's Advice on Frenemies
Would you guys ever say to someone "My Top 8 is full!" Jajajajajaja (<---That's how Latinos write hahahahahha). I do love Nikki's Diddy-like nugget of advice: "It's a hard thing to realize but not everyone is gonna like you." "Let it go," added Sara. One thing I'm not gonna let go of: The fact that Ke$ha is their first guest tonight!! So tune in at 11/10c, watch the show every Tuesday night and if you want to join the convo on Twitter, use the hashtag #NikkiandSaraLIVE.
