Miley Cyrus loves dogs! From encouraging fans to adopt, to taking more pictures of her pups than most mothers do of their children, Miley's totes out of the closet when it comes to loving b*tches...and male dogs, too.

Check out all these cute kissing pics -- courtesy of Miley's Twitter feed -- intro'ed by few interesting ASPCA facts about dogs, of course.

+ 5 to 7 million animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, and 3 to 4 million of them are put to sleep.

This means that approximately half of all shelter animals are put to sleep for health reasons, or because nobody adopts them.

+ 25% of dogs that enter shelters are purebred. (Not that it should matter!)

A lot of people don't adopt dogs from shelters because they think shelters only have mutts. (Rude!) The truth is, you can find pretty much any kind of dog you want at a shelter if you're willing to look hard enough...and when you do find the perfect one, it'll be much cheaper than buying a puppy from a pet store or dog breeder.

+ Only 20% of pet dogs are adopted from shelters!

Most people get their pets from friends or family members.

+ The average cost of basic food, supplies, medical care and training for a dog is $600 to $900 per year.

Make sure you have the money to take care of an animal in the long-term before you purchase or adopt one.

+ Many strays are lost pets who were not kept properly indoors or provided with identification.

Make sure your pets are secure in your home or yard, and never let a pet outside without identification on.

+ About 78.2 million dogs are owned in the United States.

About 1.2 million of those dogs are Miley's...

+ There are about 5,000 community animal shelters nationwide.

So don't try and tell us you can't find one!
