It's here. It's here. It's finally here. The play-in round is over, and you are now looking at your official 16 combatants for the 2013 MTV Movie Brawl.

These movies fought tooth-and-nail to make it to the official bracket, and now we can finally see which films will attempt to climb their way to the top to become the most anticipated movie of 2013.

The big story of the first round was the battle between YA entrants "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" and "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones." The two adaptations jockeyed for first place throughout the opening round, leaving other heavy-hitters like the two Marvel movies of 2013 to trail behind.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the opening round was the late arrival of the Directioners. The fans of British boy band One Direction took their sweet time showing up to the party, but when they did, the upcoming documentary became one of the fiercest competitors. Itknow continues on into the next round with a three seed.

Voting for this round will stay open until Thursday, January 17, so get your choices in now before it's took late!
