If you've resolved to be healthier in 2013, you're not alone! According to a recent survey, three of this year's top four resolutions are health-related.
Whether you're lookin' to loose weight or just feel better, we wanna help! All week, we'll be posting articles and interviews with young people to help you stick to your resolutions and get healthier from the inside out.
+ Make Health A Lifestyle
In her book, "I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down," singer and actress Jennifer Hudson shares how she lost 80 pounds and kept it off. It turns out it's not as simple as restricting your diet or putting one of these nifty locks on your ice cream:

"[Crash diets are] effective for quick weight loss," Jennifer admits, "But it's a total setup for failure because eating that way forever just isn't realistic." Instead, she suggests creating a flexible, long-term plan, and stickin' to it. It also helps to tackle your health resolutions with a buddy…'cause there's nothing worse than ordering a salad while your friends and family treat themselves double bacon cheeseburgers!
+ Set Goals & Be Your Best Competition
When it comes to workin' out, "Jersey Shore" gal Sammi Sweetheart likes to compete with herself. "If you have motivation and dedication and set goals for yourself, it'll be easier to work out," she says. "I'm like, 'All right, just a couple more laps, you can do this! You can beat yesterday's time or yesterday's lap count or whatever.'"
+ Feel Good On The Inside
Mental health is just as important as physical health, and in many ways, they go hand-in-hand. If anything's been weighing you down lately, be it mentally or physically, MTV's Half Of Us suggests getting enough sleep, staying active, learning to manage your stress in the right ways (sometimes a cold drink and a hot hookup aren't the solution!), and speaking up. If you love and respect yourself, it'll make sticking to your fitness resolutions easier…it'll also give you the confidence to close the deal on that resolution to date Justin Bieber, or kiss Mila Kunis, or maybe just the ask cutie in your math class to dinner.
