I spent a good half hour today imagining myself as the next cover star of Lucky magazine (thanks to this cool app), which got me thinking about which celebs I wish were on the cover of the magazine.
Sure I'd love to see more of Jennifer Lawrence (all the covers for J-Law!), but that's just my inner fan girl talking. What I'd really like to see are socially responsible celebs plugging their efforts to make the world suck less. With only 12 months, and therefore, 12 covers, in every year, that honor is usually reserved for the Hollywood elite with movies or albums coming out in the not-too-distant future.
Below is a list of celebrities I would love to see on the cover of Lucky. They're all incredible in their own right, but they all have one thing in common: they founded their own socially responsible companies. And Lucky is all about cool products and fashion so it's a total match made in heaven! Right?

+ Jesse Tyler Ferguson

Jesse stars as everyone's favorite gay uncle on the award-winning "Modern Family," so it comes as no surprise that the actor is a champion for civil rights in his spare time as well. His company, Tie The Knot, is in the business of looking good; the bow ties showcased are unique, fashionable and give back to a worthy cause. When you buy a tie, all of the proceeds go directly to organizations fighting for the civil rights for LGBT Americans. He even lobbied in one of his bow ties for same-sex marriage in Illinois. We'd love to see one of the bow ties on the cover of a Lucky, especially if Jesse is the one rocking it.
+ Jessica Alba

If you ask a mom what she's most proud of, she'll most likely point to her kids. True, Honor and Haven are beyond adorable, but we'd bet Jessica Alba is insanely proud about the work her company is doing: delivering eco-friendly, non-toxic products to your front door. Alba founded The Honest Company after learning about the types of horrible chemicals in everyday items such as diapers and cleaning products. If you need more convincing, just visit the site: the company follows these principles and even lets you compare prices (talk about honesty!). Honestly, we just think Jessica is the perfect choice to grace the cover of Lucky.
+ Adrian Grenier

Adrian Grenier is the co-founder of SHFT, a multi-media platform dedicated to "convey(ing) a more sustainable approach to the way we live through video, design, art and culture." If you're not clicking over to his site every day, you're missing out: with Richard Branson and Arianna Huffington serving as board members, the former "Entourage" star has some power players behind his platform and its mission. While we'd love to see more of Grenier on the small screen, we'd settle for a cover; at least there'd be no commercials while we're staring at him (I mean, learning more about SHFT).
+ Lauren Bush

Model-turned-activist Lauren Bush would probably be the most comfortable in front of the camera out of all the celebrities on this list. Although Bush has quite the political pedigree, she's worked hard to build an impressive fashion resume. However, her most important work to date has to be through her company, FEED Projects. FEED Projects, in partnership with her FEED Foundation, has donated more than $6 million dollars to the World Food Programme's School Feeding program. To break that down for you, that's more than 60 million meals donated! If that doesn't warrant a magazine cover, we don't know what does.
+ Stella McCartney

When your dad is one of The Beatles and your mom is a legendary animal rights activist, there's a good chance you'll end up a pretty awesome human being. Good news is, British fashion designer Stella McCartney doesn't disappoint. The designer is known for her eco-friendly ways; she doesn't use fur or leather in any of her collections. And just peep the list of charitable organizations she's worked with on her site: it's clear Stella knows that giving back never goes out of style. She even has a (somewhat) affordable lingerie collection available; you know, in case you need something for Valentine's Day.
