We love Shakira's songs and her heart of gold, which is why we spotlighted her for Hispanic Heritage Month. Welp, it's time to talk about our fave bellydancer again, because she keeps on giving.
The future mom and "The Voice" judge Tweeted:
Today #DeCeroASiempre and the #PrimeroLoPrimero alliance are completing an Early Childhood center for Quibdo instagr.am/p/Q3B4vzojgq/

Shakira's website explained (in your choice of English or Spanish) more of what's going on. Since Shakira's always trying to help little kids -- case in point, her Barefoot Foundation focuses on universal education -- she sounds thrilled about an early childhood development center opening in Quibdó. No need to go to Google Earth for help -- Quibdó is a city in Colombia, Shakira's home country.
How adorable are these kids?! They're posing in an early childhood development center launched by Shakira. (shakira.com)
The center will take care of 220 boys and girls and wants to help improve their lives. Colombia's first lady, María Clemencia Rodríguez de Santos, is part of it, so you know it's a big deal. The other thing Shaki mentioned is that the Primero lo Primero Alliance (which means "First Things First") is going to "deliver the first 13 Early Childhood Development Centers in various regions throughout the country, as a jumping off point so that other private and public companies continue to support this cause and thus achieve that 100% of the early youth of Colombia receive quality care and attention."
Pretty soon Shakira's going to have her own child to dote on, but I can't imagine that will stop her from helping so many other kids in the world!
