As teenage Canadian cancer patient Crystal Montgomery learned, Twitter campaigns can pay off. Last week a group of her BFFs began tweeting "#bieberforcrystal" in hopes that Justin Bieber, who was in the area, would stop by to see Crystal in the hospital.
We know you all read the many Tweets JB puts out, but did you know he also reads your Tweets? Before long #bieberforcrystal was trending in Canada, but Justin was careful not to give away what he had up his sleeve. First he Tweeted:
now off to do something that matters. #giveback

He headed on over to the Cross Cancer Institute to kick it with Crystal, who is suffering from osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. One of her arms is going to be amputated soon, but Crystal is hanging on and being strong, and you can tell Justin admires that in her. Get ready for this tear-jerking pic!

A little while later he acknowledged that all this happened because of his generous Beliebers:
Thanks to the fans for always pointing me on the right path. #giveback

Later the Biebz also offered an article from the Toronto Sun for more deets on his hospital visit:
the fans...my beliebers made this one happen. thank you torontosun.com/2012/10/15/twi…

Crystal was thrilled to see her idol firsthand and said, "He's amazing, he's an inspiration. To see him be such a mega-star but so willing to help people, and he's just such a great person."
Justin's an inspiration to his fans, but obvi his fans like Crystal (and her awesome Twitter-savvy friends!) are an inspiration to Justin. Oh Biebz, you never say never and we luv ya for that.
