It's called the Night of Too Many Stars, but you can never get enough stars together to do good deeds. Katy Perry was part of the Comedy Central event to help autism programs, and even though a big part of Katy has been about charity, this night is her personal fave.
After taking part in the event, the "Wide Awake"singer Tweeted:
I will never forget last night. It was the most important moment thus far of what I do.

If you're going, "Awww, man, I missed it!!!" it's all good. The whole event is going to air October 21 at 8/7 c on Comedy Central. "Daily Show" funnyman Jon Stewart will be hosting, and other people involved include (get ready): Carly Rae Jepsen, JWOWW, Sammi Giancola, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Seth Meyers, Ben Stiller and Amy Poehler. AND of course there's Katy Perry, whose performance of "Firework" is one of the most talked about moments.
You see, Katy didn't come out and croon the song on her own. She did a duet with autistic tween Jodi DiPiazza. Jodi was also at the piano while they sang together. You know that an event with Jon Stewart is going to have plenty of LOLs, but Katy and Jodi got everyone choked up.

Most of you haven't seen the event yet, but you can still help out autism programs even before you sit down to watch "Firework" with a box of tissues. One easy thing to do is text STARS to 50555 and $10 will be donated to New York Collaborates to Autism. It doesn't take much to help make a diff if we all come together -- 'cause baby you're a fiiiiiiirework!
