Spirit Day is here, and Twitter is going purple! We've rounded up Tweets from celebs who are ready to go purple today to take a stand against bullying and support LGBT teens. From Ricky Martin to Emmy Rossum, these stars are showing their true spirit.
Shay Mitchell, one of Spirit Day's ambassadors, has changed her Twitter pic purple to go with the day. She Tweeted:
Stand against bullying! Wear purple and make your profile pic purple for #SpiritDay 10/19 at glaad.org/spiritday #LGBT
— Shay Mitchell (@shaymitch) October 19, 2012
Our own Ashley Rickards of "Awkward" fame also decided to purplize her pic. Remember when it was news when she went blond? Well, she's going purple, baby! (Bonus points if you recognize her quote as coming from Gandhi!)
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world" Celebrate #Spiritday w/ me (tweet & wear purple 2 support) Be brave, be proud- be YOU.

Yesterday Lance Bass Retweeted this message to wear purple. Of course Lance was already on it, but the former boy bander must have wanted to give us all a friendly reminder:
On it!RT @mjstra: @lancebass Tomorrow is @glaad #SpiritDay Don't forget to wear your purple!

Not only did "Phantom of the Opera" star Emmy Rossum let us know that she's wearing purple today, she shared a pic with us. Now this is something to sing about:
I'm wearing purple today to say NO to bullying. Join me for #SpiritDay! glaad.org/spiritday @glaad twitter.com/emmyrossum/sta…

Ellen Degeneres might not have specifically mentioned "purple" in her Tweet, but she's keeping with the anti-bullying spirit of the day. Because, as much fun as it is to see how many shades of purple we go today, the real reason for this day is to give a big, loud "HELL NO" to bullying.
Wise words from my friend @marlothomas. I hope you'll read them. Don't be a bystander. #StopBullying. say.ly/dhy4p8L
