Your alarm may have gotten you up this morning and as you rushed to class or whatevers you missed the news that Malala Yousafzai, the young Pakistani girl shot by the Taliban for fighting for her education, was able to stand on her own two feet after getting treated in the UK. But forget your alarm -- Malala is the true wake up call here, eh.

At the One Young World Summit going on right now, young delegates mentioned her at least 4 times as they discussed education and literacy. They've been sharing their insights and thoughts on big global issues, issuing wake up calls and challenging each other left and right. And they're all (mostly) up for it! Over 80% of delegates agreed to tackle illiteracy when they get back home.

The four day long summit started last night, where delegates from over 180 countries pressed President Bill Clinton on everything from the Arab Spring to international aid.

Hassan, a delegate from Iraq, asked Clinton if he thought Iraqi people or people from the Middle East were ready for the Arab Spring. "The accurate answer about what I think is yes and no," he answered. "I think anytime people can be freer to chart their own course, that's a good thing -- they're ready. The whole march of liberty, however, is an uneven process, and it unfolds differently in different countries."
