Starting this Thursday (October 18), young people from all over the world -- 182 countries to be exact -- will come together for four days in Pittsburgh, PA, for the One Young World Summit. Geared toward empowering and equipping youth to take on some of the world's biggest issues, the Summit is the largest international gathering after the Olympics and United Nations! And you can be a part -- right here! -- from anywhere in the world.
Started in 2009 by David Jones and Kate Robertson, OYW first took place in London in 2010 before hopping over to Zurich, Switzerland in 2011. (South Africa will play host in 2013!) This year's edition of the Summit kicks off Thursday at 5pm ET with an opening that features a Q&A session with Bill Clinton, and will run through Sunday with closing ceremony at 5:15pm ET. Tune in to it all below, and check out the full schedule to make sure you don't miss a thing! (Joss Stone anyone? Eeeee!)
We'll be there, Tweeting from @MTVact alongside @OneYoungWorld, so be sure to join the conversation all weekend long using #OYW!
+ Tune in & watch the livestream beginning Thursday, October 17 at 5pm ET!
