Toniiiiight, we are yoooooung! You may know Fun. as that group of guys who wrote that awesome song you and your friends play to justify partying on weeknights, but did you know that they are huge advocates in the fight for human equality?! Along with fashion designer Rachel Antonoff, they recently launched The Ally Coalition (TAC) to bring friends and fans together to raise awareness surrounding LGBTQ issues.
Fun. wants you to know that you don't need to be a member of the LGBTQ community to stand up for human rights. "I urge everyone to recognize that amazing power that going on record and making a positive statement can have on the people around us," guitarist Jack Antonoff (and brother to Rachel) wrote in a letter announcing the launch of TAC. "Our goal is to build TAC into a giant network of allies who not only support human rights, but support each other. Together we can be bigger than hate, ignorance and homophobia and inspire others to look at things a different way."
Join Fun. by sharing any photo or video that explains why you are an ally to the LGBTQ community on the TAC website. You can even make a Statement Card like this one:
