Bimonthly, we'll take an artist on the rise on the MTV Music Meter and, to help you discover them a little more, detail some of their philanthropic tendencies -- from Mika to Ellie Goulding. This week, Willow Smith!

At 11-years-old, Willow Smith has accomplished more than most of us will in our lifetimes. She recently hit #9 on MTV's Mainstream Music Meter and breached 2,000,000 followers on Twitter. She's had a hit single in "Whip My Hair" and multiple haircuts that we will never have the guts for. Let us take a brief moment for self-pitying… Now one for feeling old… Now back to how awesome Willow is.

At a young age, she already understands the importance of giving back. Last Christmas, Willow teamed up with Target and the Boys and Girls Club of NYC to give eight kids and their families a holiday shopping spree:

Around the same time, she hit up New York's JFK International Airport for Garden of Dreams' Holiday In The Hangar event. Garden of Dreams is a non-profit organization that partners with children's hospitals, homeless shelters, and "wish" foundations to host once-in-a-lifetime events for underprivileged kids. Willow attended the event with her dad, The Fresh Prince Will Smith:

Willow also hosted the "Whip Your Skates Back and Forth" roller skating fundraiser, from which proceeds went to rebuilding Chicago's youth athletic fields:

At this rate, Willow will have started her own charitable foundation and adopted more foreign babies than Angelina Jolie before her freshman year of high school. (Kidding about the latter.)
