The latest piece of the extensive "Prometheus" marketing campaign debuted last night on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and we are now one step closer to having seen the entire film before it debuts in two weeks.
This newest bit of sci-fi goodness from Ridley Scott features a very badass Charlize Theron as Meredith Vickers, a Weyland Industries representative with attitude.
The clip — like most things associated with "Prometheus" — should be considered a spoiler, so if you're wishing to see it with all secrets intact, you might not want to see the video after the jump.
The clip comes compliments of Prometheus Forum, and doesn't give away too much (or really anything at all) about the plot of the film.
In the clip Vickers faces down David 8, played by Michael Fassbender in what already looks like a very special performance. It's hard to pull any context out of the clip, but Vickers and David seem to have a disagreement about a message the android received. As a sort-of prequel to "Alien," it's not hard to imagine that David would pull an Ash and go against the wishes of his human shipmates in order to follow some maniacal orders from corporate.
The snippet does give us a better look at a Theron's character and the kind of threats she's willing to make in order to get out alive.
"Prometheus" hits theaters on June 8.
