Momtrepreneur Jessica Alba is making way more than a baby bump of an impact in the business world. In the June issue of Marie Claire, the mother of two and "Spy Kids 4" star graces the cover and opens up about her huge business venture, The Honest Company. Speaking of being honest... is she looking B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L or what?!
Anyway, back to my point. With the birth of her first baby Honor, the idea of The Honest Company was born! Honest focuses on providing non-toxic baby items to families all over. Did you know many baby items (like diapers) contain harmful chemicals that have been linked to chronic diseases like asthma, ADHD, and even cancer?! Crazy, right?
In the issue Jessica explains, "I took a year off from acting when I had Honor, and I was home with her, diapering her, cleaning up after her, and I had a real frustration that I couldn't find healthy, nontoxic, and affordable products that actually worked. So I decided I needed to do something about it while my family and friends have young children."
While she's a few years into her role as "mom" now, she's got a new baby-related role under her belt -- it was just announced she is the new spokesperson for March of Dimes' #ImBornTo campaign, joining Kelly Clarkson and "Teen Mom 2" mommy Chealsea Houska in support of the march.
Between filming, changing dirty diapers, creating safe diapers, and marching for babies, when does this lady sleep?! What a classy, hardworking mommy. Mad respect, J!
