If you're trying to decide what to wear to school or work, it's time to think pink! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the ever fashionable Beyoncé is going pink to show her support and spread awareness.
Queen Bey shared a pic on Instagram of her painting her nails — with her pinky being painted a different, glittery shade of pink. She included the message, "Breast Cancer awareness month starts today paint your pinky pink! #spotthepinkie #pinkiepink #nailsinclondon."
Besides painting nails (and pinkies!) pink, you'll see lots of peeps over the next month wearing all sorts of pink clothing and accessories. But you can do more than just wear pink! If you want to get more involved in this activism, a great place to check out is the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month website. You can buy cool merchandise there, and part of the proceeds go toward breast cancer education. You can also check out the participating orgs they've got listed off, like the American Cancer Society and the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
It's also important to check in with your doc and make sure you get breast cancer screenings when you're old enough (your doc can explain all that!). This is a month to not only rock pink, but also use pink power to find a cure and help everyone who's currently battling with cancer. And that's what we mean when we say, "Think pink!"
