Every puppy deserves a good home, and Lance Bass has been using his Twitter account to find the perfect love nest for a special puppy named Alvin.

The singer and activist Tweeted and Instagrammed:

Ok everyone! This is the week we find Alvin a home! He doesn't want to be put down ; ( Share this… http://t.co/MK5vpitDZu

Lots of people use social media as a way to find homes for companion animals, and this isn't the first time Lance has Tweeted about Alvin. Surprisingly, no one has adopted him yet. (I mean, look at his eyes! And Lance is really plugging for him!)

If you're in a position where you can give Alvin a good home, email dirtypoplive(at)gmail(dot)com. If you're not able to help Alvin through adoption but still want to do something, you can Retweet Lance's Tweet or share it on FB. Hopefully Alvin will get a home asap, but there are always more dogs (and cats and other pets) who are in need of adoption. Vinny Guadagnino, Ashley Rickards and AnnaLynne McCord have all praised the benefits of pet adoption in MTV Act interviews, and they're not the only ones who feel this way. Adopting pets can literally save lives.

If you're not able to adopt — you already have pets, you're allergic, you're not in a stable enough situation to take care of a pet, etc. — don't feel bad. There are still other ways you can help animals, like donating to an animal welfare org, volunteering, or even sharing Tweets like Lance's that help get pets adopted. Let's make sure all the Alvins out there get the homes they need!
