Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer are well on their way to becoming the next Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, but the fab "Nikki & Sara LIVE" hosts haven't always been at the top. Like many of us, their road to success has been paved with personal and professional obstacles.

We recently sat down with the comedic duo to chat dream jobs, hard times, and how they ultimately landed their very own show on MTV. If you think your dream job is gonna fall right into your lap, AND come with a complimentary lap dance from Channing Tatum in "Magic Mike," think again! "The thing that seems more difficult to do in the moment is the thing you should be doing," says Nikki. "The easy way is never the way... No more excuses. You just have to put in the work." Although even the coolest jobs have their downsides, Nikki stresses the importance of loving what you do. When it comes to comedy, she says, "It should be fun, though. It shouldn't be really hard to get out of bed and do a set if you truly love it."

If you've been fired, or turned down, or discouraged, keep ya head up! "[Rejection] hurts so much," says Sara. "The rejection of following a creative career -- or any career -- there's so much rejection involved in getting to that ultimate goal." And when the going gets tough, Sara has one important piece of advice: "You hang on, you go a little bit longer."
