Last night the 2013 MTV Movie Awards rocked it with movies, celebs and fashion, and one of the highlights was when Jamie Foxx was honored with the Generation Award. Another highlight of the night was the fact he used the opportunity to honor the memory of Trayvon Martin and the victims of Sandy Hook.

After his big night, Jamie Tweeted:

We first got a look at his shirt with a message during the pre-show when Jamie was being interviewed on the Red Carpet. Standing next to "Django Unchained" costar Kerry Washington and speaking to MTV's Josh Horowitz and Karlie Kloss, Jamie discussed his fashion choice, saying it was a "little blip" to keep our minds on these lives we have lost.

"Not political or anything like that," he said. "Just think about the children. My daughter is here, nineteen-years-old. So just protecting our kids."

This is not the first time the Academy Award-winning actor has spoken up on behalf of Trayvon. In February he was part of a candlelight vigil for the young man, joining Trayvon's parents and hundreds of others. This also isn't the first time we've seen Jamie wearing a shirt with Trayvon's picture on it. We had fun looking at all the Movie Awards fashion last night, but I gotta say, fashion with a message takes the cake. Trayvon Martin and the victims of Newtown will not be forgotten.
