What happened at the Boston Marathon is still fresh in many people's minds, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt knows a great site that lists off all different ways you can help.

If you haven't looked over Take Part's list, it's worth your time. Probably the most important thing on the list is The One Fund Boston, which was created by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino. If you're unable to donate yourself, you could Tweet #OneBoston and its link to help spread awareness of it.
Also on Joe's site are links to donate to Technology Underwriting Greater Good, Salvation Army's Emergency Disaster Services and Atheists Giving Aid. The RYOT Foundation, which has Ian Somerhalder, Sophia Bush and Olivia Wilde on its Advisory Board, has created its own Boston Marathon Victims Fund.
Journalist Ann Curry is calling for random acts of kindness, and this can be especially beneficial if you're living in the Boston area. But even if you don't live in Boston, we're all feeling pretty shaky now, so a kind act could make a major diff in someone's day. And a big thing to remember from all this is the importance of being kind every day, and not just after something bad has happened.
Also, if you know or suspect you know anything about who is behind the bombing, the number to call is 1-800-494-TIPS. If you want additional opportunities to lend a hand, you can also check out our MTV Act article on ways to help.
