Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer are both fan favorites for the leading role in the film adaptation of naughty novel, Fifty Shades of Grey. While casting choices are usually pretty obvious, both are perfectly suited to play the sexual, smoldering Christian Grey. Like, literally, both of them look great in Christian's favorite attire: a suit and (multifunctional) tie.
Since Ian is so appropriately nicknamed "Smolderhalder," and all you've gotta do is change one letter in Matt's surname to make it, well -- you go 'head and do that on you own -- we're gonna have settle this score another way. They both have to make out with me! Charity!

Ian Somerhalder plays a killer vamp on "The Vampire Diaries," but offscreen, he's all about giving life to humans and the environment. From building animal sanctuaries to promoting energy-saving LED light bulbs, the goal of Ian's namesake foundation is to make people more aware of how their actions affect everything around them. Trust me, Somerhalder. I'm extremely aware of how your actions affect me.
When we asked Ian if he thinks Christian Grey would make good philanthropist, he replied, "Of course ... Mr Grey is a sucker for opportunity and challenge. As a volunteer, Mr. Grey would be able to harness the corporate world to serve and obey the mission of the foundation, and he'd do it with a sparkle in his eyes and a smile across his mouth." Call the casting directors, 'cause I'm sold!

"Magic Mike" hunk Matt Bomer came out during last year's Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, while receiving the New Generation Arts and Activism Award for his commitment to fighting HIV/AIDS. In his acceptance speech, he thanked his partner Simon Halls and their three children. And yet I still wanna be the Anastasia Steele to his Christian Grey.
In coming out, Matt broke the common yet misinformed stereotype that gay men can't be masculine or play straight characters. I dare the "Fifty Shades" casting directors to find a more manly fella for the role, which Matt refuses to comment on. Hmm...could we have a second potential coming out on our hands?
This casting decision is obvi gonna be hard. Um. Yeah. My mind is totally in the gutter now, so I'm gonna leave you with that. Take action with the widgets below and vote on your fave hunk with heart. And good luck, fellas!
