You don't even wanna know how much I spend on designer coffee every morning, sometimes even twice, but do you know that 1.4 billion people in the world live on less than $1.50 a day? Brit photographer James Mollison recently traveled the globe photographing children and their bedrooms -- many with neither beds nor rooms --  to take this eye-opening set of photos. Speaking of eyes, you may need a box of tissues ASAP.

These photos are part of Where Children Sleep, a book James created to reveal the shocking differences in living conditions across the globe. "I hope the book gives a a glimpse into the lives some children are living in very diverse situations around the world; a chance to reflect on the inequality that exists, and realize just how lucky most of us in the developed world are," says James. About 80% of the world's population lives on less than $10 a day!

As you can tell from Netu's room, even kids in developing countries have big-time dreams! Organizations like Musequality work to bring art and music to children in need, fostering skill, confidence, and something all young people deserve: plain ole fun.

What exactly is this?! Has the government decided that tiaras make better security systems than lazers?! Are there top secret documents hidden in that Disney princess pillowcase?! Although Jasmine seems well-provided for, this isn't the case for all Americans. There are approximately 1.7 million homeless teens in the U.S., and more than 17 million kids go to bed hungry every night!
