The 2013 MTV Movie Awards were wayyy great, but I'm all about what happens before the trophies and death stares go down. I'm talkin' 'bout the red carpet.
Since you've probably seen enough pics of fancy clothes you can't afford, here are our fave wild outfits with a message.
+ Hana Mae Lee's Butt Head
Hana Mae Lee played the silent type in "Pitch Perfect," so she appropriately let her outfit do all the talkin' on last night's Movie Awards red carpet. Although Hana didn't say anything specific against smoking, she pretty much summed up what all smokers look like to me: big ol' butt heads! The CDC estimates that adult males lose 13.2 years of life and females lose 14.5 years of life to smoking regularly!
+ TLC's Condom Accessories
Some celebs pair their red carpet couture with diamonds and pearls, but TLC spiced things up at the 1994 American Music Awards when they accessorized their outfits with red ribbons and condoms! "Kids listen to performers and we have a duty to give them certain critical information," said Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez in an interview with the LA Times. "The point is to make condoms something kids aren't afraid of or ashamed of." One in two sexually active young Americans will get an STD by 25, and most won't know it -- the only way to know is to get yourself tested.
+ Lil' Kim's...Boobs.
Lil' Kim has been baring all since before most Bieber fans were born. Her 1999 VMA gown left little to the imagination, but apparently just lookin' wasn't enough for Diana Ross! One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, so when the R&B diva copped a feel, I like to think it was simply to remind Kim to do regular self-exams.
