Since everyone loves animals, Ellen DeGeneres, and sharing cool things on Facebook, I've got a great Tweet for you. Ellen has teamed up with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) to help keep animals safe -- and you can join her by sharing her vid on Facebook!

The dancing sensation Tweeted:

Ellen's link takes you to a video where she's talking with HSUS CEO Wayne Pacelle. Wayne points out that preventing cruelty is part of what his org does, but some states are looking at legislation known as "ag-gag" bills, which could make it a crime for people to take vids or pics of animal cruelty in order to report it. In other words, being a whistleblower about animal cruelty could become a criminal act instead of a heroic deed.

I'm pretty sure you're going, "WUUHH?" right now. But it's true. HSUS explains, "Whistleblowing employees have played a vital role in exposing animal abuse, unsafe working conditions, and environmental problems on industrial farms. Instead of working to prevent these abuses from occuring, the agribusiness industry has been working to prevent people from finding out about such problems by supporting anti-whistleblower bills."

Just last week, Carrie Underwood spoke out about her disapproval of such laws in Tennessee, Tweeting:

Shame on TN lawmakers for passing the Ag Gag bill. If Gov. Bill Haslam signs this, he needs to expect me at his front door. Who's with me?

In order to spread awareness on this, and give HSUS a digital helping hand, Ellen asked people to share this vid on Facebook. She promised to donate $25,000 to the org once it got shared 25,000 times -- and it's been shared more than 41,000 times! What do you think about the matter?
