It's now been one week since the Boston Marathon bombing. Like many people, Sandra Bullock, her "The Heat" co-star Melissa McCarthy, and "Silver Linings Playbook" star Bradley Cooper are so moved by what happened that they've stepped up to be there for the public officials and victims.

Some of the heroes of the Boston Marathon include law officials, medical staff and civilians who stepped forward to help the wounded. As a small token of gratitude, the Boston Police Department and FBI will get an advanced screening of "The Heat," which stars Sandra Bullock and 2013 MTV Movie Awards presenter Melissa McCarthy. The movie is about law officials in Boston, which is why the connection was made.

Meanwhile, Cooper visited victims at the hospital, including Sydney Corcoran and Jeff Bauman, who was pictured in one of the most recognizable and gruesome images of the bombing. A pic shows Sydney smiling at Cooper (pictured above), and thankfully Jeff is looking much better in his pic with the actor (below).

Causes has set up a National Condolence Card you can sign. "We the undersigned wish to express our heartfelt sympathies to the families and friends of those who were killed in the terrorist bombing at the Boston Marathon," the card says. You can join more than 120,000 people by signing.

+ Thank the Police

There are many people to thank, including the BPD. You can always tweet your thanks to @Boston_Police. You can also follow their Twitter handle for updates on the case and ways to help.

+ Thank the Hospitals

After the bombing, victims were sent to different hospitals, and medical professionals did an amazing job of saving people's lives. You can share a message of thanks on the Facebook pages of Massachusetts General, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital, and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

+ Join Love is Louder

You can send messages of love and support to Boston through Love is Louder. One suggestion is to write "We Love You Boston" on your hand and share it on your social pages with #LoveIsLouder.
