May 17, 2013 couldn't be further away, right? That's the date "Star Trek Into Darkness" finally opens in theaters and (spoilers be damned) we find out the true identity of Benedict Cumberbatch's John Harrison.
Well, does May 15 sound like a better alternative? Yes, it does.
That's when you can see the long-awaited "Star Trek" sequel... if you download the new smart phone app we covered last week.
Fans were initially promised a surprise if they had the app downloaded in time for the "Big Game," and when that time came, a Fandango link revealed the early release of the J.J. Abrams joint.
The reveal came timed with the brand new ad for the sci-fi adventure, which continues the alternate timeline journeys of the U.S.S. Starship Enterprise and its iconic crew, but this time they have a new mysterious foe out for revenge to contend with.
Check out the Super Bowl preview below to get in on some of that Cumberbatch action!
