Awards show season is about to get quite colorful, unexpected, and well, weird. With the Grammy Awards this weekend, you can expect to see lots of crazy fashion, some insane musical talent and plenty of fun surprises.
The red carpet is always less refined than other shows, which means our favorite artists are going to be able to strut their stuff in more creative outfits. But this awards show, clearly, isn't all about the fashion; it's about the music. Each year brings powerhouse performances, heartfelt speeches and an all-around fun night of television. Here's what we're hoping to see this Sunday:
+ Frank Ocean's Inspiring Speech
Now, we're not playing favorites, but Frank Ocean is up for Album of the Year for "Channel Orange," and we think he'd have some really inspirational words to say if he takes home the Grammy. He's talked about everything from unemployment to his sexuality -- can you blame us for wanting to give him a public platform and microphone?
+ Newtown Chorus
They gave a chilling performance at the Super Bowl, so we're excited to see the Newtown chorus perform on music's biggest night. They'll appear via simulcast, singing "Somewhere Under the Rainbow" which will then segue into the group's version of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe." We're not sure if this is going to make us laugh or cry -- or both -- so have tissues ready.
+ No Nudity, More Clothes
The Grammy Awards, airing on CBS, usually include the most bizarre and risqué fashion choices of the year, but this year will be a little different. The CBS Standards and Practice committee let attendees know that outfits showing "bare fleshy" parts will not be allowed -- and that's just one of the rules. Not sure what that means? No dresses like J. Lo's iconic Versace look or P!nk's nearly-nude performance outfit this time around.
+ Non-Famous Faces
If the camera pans to the first few rows and you have no idea who some of the audience members are, don't roll your eyes: they're actually there for a good cause. Thanks to Tickets-For-Charity, ordinary, non-famous people can attend the Grammys (and other shows); the best part is that the money they pay for the seats is actually donated to charity! Artists and bands like Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Coldplay have all given up seats at their concerts for a good cause.
+ Awesome Performances (Duh)

Nominees Rihanna and Bruno Mars will join music legend Sting in one of the many highly anticipated performances of the night. And while we're more than stoked to see RiRi and Bruno on stage, we're thrilled 16-time Grammy winner Sting is there, too. He's not just an insanely talented musician; he's also done some incredible work to save the world's rainforests. Plus, he always puts on a good show. Remember when Channing Tatum gave Elton John a lap dance for the Rainforest Fund's annual fundraiser? Yeah, so do we. Earth-loving Justin Timberlake will be making a comeback and is performing, too!
