Chrysalis is an org in California that works to help homeless or low-income people become self-sufficient. Do you remember the following saying? "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime." You see, Chrysalis doesn't just give people money and send them on their merry way. It trains people to be able to get jobs, then helps them with job searches. It also gives "Post Employment Support" to make sure people can keep their jobs and stay self-sufficient.
Props to Cory for spreading the word! Even if you don't live in the area and want to help, Chrysalis accepts donations or you can find a volunteer opportunity similar to this in your area. But, hey, if you do get involved, maybe you'll see Cory also helping out! He's one helpful guy...in fact, "Finn" himself has been nominated at the Do Something Awards for Best Male TV Star.
