We have sad news to start off this week following a report from over the weekend: Oscar-winning actor Ernest Borgnine died on Sunday at the age of 95.
During his long career, Borgnine won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of the titular character in the 1955 film, "Marty." Borgnine also took on a number of television roles and was nominated for three Primetime Emmy awards, including one for Lead Actor in a Series for his performance on ABC's "McHale's Navy." In recent years, he had an Emmy-nominated guest appearance on "ER" and he also lent his voice talents to the recurring character of Mermaid Man for the television series, "SpongeBob SquarePants."
