"Vampire Diaries" hottie Ian Somerhalder can finally be yours! Well…kinda. The smoldering actor is auctioning off a lunch date in Atlanta, Georgia via charity auction site Charitybuzz.

Proceeds will help the Ian Somerhalder Foundation build an animal rescue center. Fact: The only thing hotter than Ian Somerhalder the actor is Ian Somerhalder the animal-lover.

Ian is an outspoken philanthropist who has always used his Twitter powers for good. In other words, he shares more info about saving the world than he does shirtless pics of himself. (Bittersweet.) And while he fiends for human blood on television, Ian would never dream of mistreating an animal. "There are too many animals that are abused, mistreated, and abandoned. They've been ostracized, they have behavioral issues, and they're starving," he tells Entertainment Weekly. "It's just unbelievable what we've done to animals, and I think that's why this is so important."
