Considering the rather definitive ending of "The Woman in Black," it might come as a surprise to find out that Hammer Films is planning a sequel to their most recent horror film. But the British production company has hired Jon Coker, who worked as story editor on "The Woman in Black," to come in and pen a sequel that takes place after the time of Arthur Kipps.

Yes, that does mean Daniel Radcliffe won't be starring in the new film. In fact, he likely won't even make a cameo, unless the movie's Big Twist is that he is now the Woman in Black (we doubt it). We haven't had many details about the project, but now Shock Till You Drop has gotten their hands on a plot synopsis for the upcoming sequel. Check it out after the jump.

"Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant," the synopsis reads. "Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve's efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black."

There are two big changes from "The Woman in Black" that we notice in the synopsis of its sequel. First, it seems like the story is jumping forward 50 years into the future. The World War II era already has a certain connotation of dread around it, so it should lend itself very well to the setting of this film.

Second, it seems as though Eve will be the main character in this flick, meaning "The Woman in Black 2" will follow a female lead instead of a male one. Will the Woman in Black hold more resentment for Eve because she is a woman, since we know that much of her afterlife has been spent feeling anger towards her sister? We'll have to wait until this film is made to find out. That's still a ways off, though, since "The Woman in Black 2" has yet to land a director or cast.
