Jennifer Lopez stopped by a children's hospital in Panama on Tuesday, before kicking off her Dance Again World Tour set to begin Thursday. Like, did we need any more proof that she deserved the numero uno spot on Forbes' Celebrity 100?!
J. Lo, who was looking ba-yoo-tiful in a snakeskin blouse and high-waisted white pants (if only I could pull those off), and her lil' sis Lynda donated medical equipment to Hospital Del Nino in Panama's capital before chatting with the hospital staff and doctors.
"As a mother, children are the most important thing for me," J.Lo said after a ceremony held at the hospital. Preach mama, preach!
The donation was part of the glam sisters' work with the Lopez Family Foundation, a charity they created to make quality health care and health education more available for women and children worldwide. The org focuses on telemedicine, which no, is not some futuristic E.T.-esque stuff, but is a type of healthcare system that uses video-chatting and data transfer via phone and the Internet to connect doctors to patients in remote areas. Neat-o.
J. Lo's heading to Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Brazil before meeting up with Enrique Iglesias in North America July 14 for a joint tour. The tour will continue in Europe come October.
Now, excuse me, while I go watch the "Dance Again" music vid and pretend I can keep up with J.Lo's moves.
