Did anyone watch Justin Bieber's performance on the "TODAY" show this morn? Or his interview with Matt Lauer? Beibz stayed mum on whether the love songs on his upcoming album Believe are about Selena Gomez but we know he's just being coy and all. Speaking of Selena, we (too) love her more and more everyday. She is always ready to help the kiddies through UNICEF, and she has a major issue on her mind when it comes to the little ones around the world.

Did you know that globally 21,000 children die every day from preventable causes? Yeah, preventable. We're not talking about 21,000 children dying from stuff we can't do anything about -- we're talking about them dying from stuff we can do something about. Selena's ready to lead the way for some change on this, and took to Twitter:

Her links will take you straight on over to UNICEF, where they explain, "UNICEF has saved more children's lives than any other humanitarian organization. But our work's not done: 7.6 million children are still not reaching their fifth birthday every year." A lot of us can remember our fifth birthdays and don't think of it as much besides cake and presents -- but to many people, a child reaching their fifth birthday is a major milestone.

UNICEF (and Selena!) want to get the number of preventable deaths down to zero. You can donate to UNICEF, but if money's tight and you still want to help, no worries. Selena's given a link where you can sign up to get updates from UNICEF on different ways you can help. Even if you can't give over the dough, there might be opportunities to sign petitions or volunteer. Help bring about a lot more birthdays by taking action below!
