All has been quiet on the "Hangover" front since January, when we learned that leading men Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis were in negotiations to return for "The Hangover: Part III." The movie earned itself a May 24, 2013 release date several months back, and now we're hearing some rumors sprout up about where the threequel will be set.
"The Hangover" took place in Las Vegas, while "The Hangover: Part II" headed to Bangkok, and now Life and Style Magazine has learned that the third flick might be headed south of the border to Tijuana.
"A lot of it will be shot in Los Angeles," an unnamed source told the site, "but then they are going to do the crazy scenes in Vegas again and then one wild week in Tijuana."
That general plot synopsis is sort of reminiscent of some of the craziness that takes place in director Todd Phillips' other Galifianakis comedy, "Due Date." Warner Bros. hasn't commented on any of these rumors yet, but The Las Vegas Sun did run a report saying that the movie will shoot in and around Caesar's Palace and on the Las Vegas strip.
At around this time last year, Galifianakis started a different plot rumor in an interview with Rolling Stone. During their chat, he said that the story in "The Hangover: Part III" will follow his character Alan escaping from a mental institution with the help of Stu and Phil. Since we've heard repeatedly that this installment of "The Hangover" series will ditch the formula of the previous two films, we wouldn't it put it past Phillips to have that be the premise of this movie.
