A reality star, an entrepreneur, a mom, a guidette, and now a contestant on "Dancing With The Stars"...is there anything that Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi doesn't do?! We recently sat down with the "Jersey Shore" graduate (at a nail salon in NJ, of course) to discuss why the show was like her college years, and how she's grown up since then.
+ Watch Real Talk With Snooki.
"Being on 'Jersey Shore' was kind of like my college years," shares Snooki. "Eating bad, drinking, not caring." Our lady will always be a guidette, but she's so over the party lifestyle. "I kind of grew out of those college years now. I love eating healthy, I love going to the gym, and, you know, I just wanna be a fit mom for my son." Drinking can be a fun, social activity, but it's important to know your limits and never let your party habits get in the way of your career and health goals.
When it comes to getting fit, Snooki wants people to know that it takes time and patience. "It does take some time," she says, "and that's where people get discouraged, I feel, and they just stop going." Snooki stresses the importance of loving ourselves, no matter how far we are from meeting our health and fitness goals: "Even when I was a little heavier, I was still very confident. I think that's a good quality to have." At this rate, it won't be long before Snooki goes from reality star to psychiatrist!
