We're still on a high from attending the Fourth Estate Summit earlier this month, which means we're keeping our eyes locked on Invisible Children's Twitter feed for our inspiration fix. It looks like we're not the only ones, because Olivia Wilde gave her ringing endorsement to the organization over the weekend.
The actress tweeted:
Agree or disagree: "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." - Gandhi
— Invisible Children (@Invisible) August 30, 2013
Given the nature of the work the organization does, it's not a stretch to see why Gandhi's quote is the perfect fit for Invisible Children. As many know by now, thanks in large part to the success of the KONY 2012 campaign, the organization is working to end the Lord's Resistance Army conflict in Uganda and to prevent Joseph Kony from kidnapping children and using them as soldiers.
If, like Wilde, you believe in Gandhi's quote and want to lose yourself in service to others, you can help Invisible Children reach its newest goal. Now that Kony's name by millions around the world, the organization is focusing on a goal of #zeroLRA, a "permanent end to LRA atrocities."
You can help the organization get to #zeroLRA by making sure everyone knows about the new campaign or by donating any amount if you have the funds. No amount is too little, because at the end of the day, every dollar will help make sure we're one step closer to making sure there are no more children soldiers in the LRA.
