Jack Osbourne may be in the news because he's joining the "Dancing with the Stars" cast, but he also deserves some coverage for his upcoming gig at the Cops 4 Causes second annual 9/11 Heroes Helping Heroes Benefit Concert.
Ozzy's son Tweeted:
Join me at @HOBSunset next Wednesday for an evening of rock music in support of @Cops4Causes! Tickets & more info: http://t.co/mHEBJZUfkf
— Jack Osbourne (@MrJackO) September 4, 2013
The concert will be taking place September 11, the twelfth anniversary of the terror attacks, and is located at the House of Blues in West Hollywood. Tix are still for sale, and money goes to support the men and women in uniform. There will be all sorts of live performers at the concert, including Mark McGrath from Sugar Ray, and Blasko, who's worked as Ozzy Osbourne's bassist.
Cops 4 Causes talks about how more than a million service members have been sent to Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001, and that 60,000 service members are still not home with their families. On top of that, it's calculated that about 360,000 men and women in uniform have come home with Traumatic Brain Injuries, or TBI. Cops 4 Causes specifically wants to raise money to help veterans get the jobs and education they want, and also help with wellness programs.
If you're not able to attend but want to help with this cause, you could check out MTV Act's 5 Celebs Who Love Memorial Day Weekend For All The Right Reasons, because it's got deets on ways to give back to the troops. This benefit sounds like it's going to be a night to remember, but it doesn't have to be a holiday or anniversary to give back.
