Summer may be winding down for many *insert crying emoji*, but Vinny has some final ideas to end summer in a positive way! The fist-pumping star opened to us about his first summer off since filming Jersey Shore and his passion for restoring the shore.

After Hurricane Sandy wiped out the Jersey Shore last year, Vinny went into superhero mode trying to help restore the shore.

From volunteering efforts, to using his celebrity platform to get people talking, we have to give him some major props for all he did/ is still doing to help out his community. He told us, "just because it's a thing of the past, doesn't mean it doesn't exist anymore." Sadly, so many peoples lives were changed that day last year. From destroyed homes, to lost businesses, there still is much opportunity to lend a hand. Vinny continued by saying, "Seaside is definitely back in business, however, due to the devastation there are no more rides still. These families and businesses had to I'm sure give up everything to get it back up and running."

We are DEF glad to see Seaside back up and running! Another fabulous things Vinny did was adopt a dog! The Jersey Shore stud worked with the North Shore Animal League to bring in this new addition to his fam! So, whether it's volunteering in your local community, or helping raise awareness about doggy adoption, following in Vinny's charitbale shoes is a perfect way to start the new school year!
