Miley Cyrus' headline-making VMAs performance had two major themes: twerking and teddy bears. Well, three if you count Miley's tongue. Check out these awesome organizations that use the cuddliest part of her show for good.

+ SpiritHoods

Spirit Hoods -- a.k.a. every raver's favorite accessory -- donates 10% of every sale to wildlife organizations that protect the very animals we emulate at concerts. Rock their Panda SpiritHood to help raise funds and awareness for Giant Pandas, whose population is anything but giant these days. There were only 1,600 of them in the world in 2004!

+ The Teddy Bear Fund

The Teddy Bear Fund knows just how comforting stuffed animals can be -- that's why the org is dedicated to giving plush companions to abused children. "Hopefully she might consider ... giving lots of teddy bears to children in need of comfort," said a Teddy Bear Fund rep after watching Miley's VMAs performance.

+ Project Smile

Everyone smiles after hugging a teddy bear! Project Smile is a New England nonprofit that donates new and used stuffed animals to police officers, fire fighters, and paramedics to give to children on site after traumatic experiences. It is their goal to collect enough stuffed animals so that every New England emergency responder has a teddy on hand.

+ The Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation

The Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation provides financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer living in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties in CA. Their "Bear" Necessities program provides families with household items like furniture, clothing, diapers, and -- of course -- toys.

+ Stuffed Animals For Emergencies

Stuffed Animals for Emergencies, also known as SAFE, donates stuffed animals to hospitals, homeless shelters, and the children of military personnel. The org aims to make children feel SAFE during times of need, especially those living without one or both parents.
