Ricky Martin is looking dapper as he covers the October issue of GQ Australia! Although the 41-year-old actor has embraced his sexuality in the last few years, he opened up to the mag revealing that growing up he actually bullied others like himself back in his homeland of Puerto Rico.
Ricky reflected on his past by revealing, "I was very angry, very rebellious. I used to look at gay men and think, I'm not like that, I don't want to be like that, that's not me. I was ashamed. When you're told you're wrong by everyone, from society, from your faith — my self-esteem was crushed. I took my anger out on those around me." You have to give him some props to have the courage to admit this.
Coming out is DEF a tough process for many, we are so proud of the person Ricky has evolved into. Opening up about his past will help so many others out there around the world find clarity within their own lives. When Ricky isn't using his Twitter for peace, human trafficking, and a thousand other fabulous reasons he often uses it to Tweet out inspiring quotes. Ricky continued to spread the message of LOVE Tweeting on of my fave famous quotes:
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle"

Remember, #LoveIsLouder than any bully that tries to tackle you down. Bullying is clearly no bueno, we are glad to see Ricky have the courage to own his story.
