On July 4, we unveiled our Patriotic Playlist, and Demi Lovato just released a new music video of "Made in the USA" that would have been perf for it. (Maybe next year?) On top of having a patriotic feel, Demi's dedicated the video to troops past and present.
Demi also helped direct the video, which made her even more excited for the premiere. She tweeted:
HERE IT IS!!!!!!!! #MADEINTHEUSAVIDEO!!!!!!http://t.co/nrKoI8cw2q

The vid follows the life and work of a male soldier and his sweetheart. It's a happy ending for this soldier in this story, but Demi knows that isn't always the case. Many men and women have given their lives while in the armed forces, so she wanted to honor their sacrifice.

After hearing some fan reactions, Demi followed up with another tweet:
I dedicate my video to all of the troops, anyone who has passed away over seas and to this INCREDIBLE country that I'm so thankful 4..

Quite a few of our fave celebs at MTV Act make a point of honoring the men and women in uniform, which means Demi's far from alone in her sentiments. A few examples? How 'bout Ludacris teaming up with C*A*M*M*O'S Mission One Voice, Kellie Pickler performing for the troops in a USO tour, and John Mayer donating tix proceeds to veterans' health? And let's not forget Katy Perry doing a whole "Part of Me" vid showing the singing star as a soldier. Maybe Demi will appear as a soldier in one of her future vids to specifically honor women in the armed forces?
Whatever the future brings with Demi's music videos, who here thinks this song's going to be a big fave next year for the Fourth of July?
