We hope you're not suffering from Guillermo del Toro fatigue yet (like that's even possible), because we're about to dish out a serious helping of "Pacific Rim" awesomeness.
After letting slip a few, you know, major statements regarding "Star Wars: Episode 7" and "At The Mountains of Madness" while doing press for his upcoming film, "Mama," the director finished Monday off by treating fans to a brand new trailer (via io9) for his monsters-versus-robots flick at the International Consumer Electrics Show in Las Vegas. If you're easily worn by back-to-back trailers, trust us—this one isn't just another carbon copy of the first preview.
We do get a bit of footage already seen in the first sneak peek, but this time around, we've also got more ooh-and-ah-worthy Jaeger action, and even a quick look at head-to-head combat between the giant robots and their ancient monster enemies, the kaiju. Seeing the pummeled cars and bridges, intricate robotic pilot suits (filled with mysterious yellow goo?) and essentially all of the stuff techie dreams are made of, we can't help but imagine how much fun del Toro had while making this film.
If you haven't caught on yet, "Pacific Rim" follows the story of what might happen if humans built colossal robots to combat the skyscraper-sized monsters that threaten the survival of mankind. Charlie Hunnam, Iris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day and Ron Perlman star in the movie, which will play in theaters on July 12.
