What did you do for #GivingTuesday? Linkin Park Tweeted a great suggestion yesterday on something you could do but it doesn't have to be #GivingTuesday for you to get involved.

Linkin Park, who won an American Music Award last week, is a band that continues to rock -- 16 years and counting guys!! They like, will rock for eternity. They also give back majorly. Last year they launched Power the World, which provides clean energy solutions to people without electricity, like supplying solar-powered light bulbs. You might be thinking, "Living without electricity would be annoying, but does it really matter?" But the truth is lack of electricity can mean lack of school and lack of health clinics. I mean, how easy is it for doctors to work in the dark? And if you lived without power when Sandy hit, you know how tough it can be. Can you imagine living your whole life sans power?!

So yesterday LP gave us a friendly reminder of the awesomeness they're doing with Power the World, and they've also got a great "Powerless" video clip to show you. Besides getting to hear Linkin Park's new angsty song, you learn more about the energy situation and what they're doing.

By following their Twitter link, you'll also learn more about how and why certain areas are being helped, including Uganda and Haiti. For instance, in the Uganda section, it explains, "Globally, 1,000 women die every day during childbirth or from complications of pregnancy. In Africa, maternal mortality is at a crisis point. Power the World has partnered with WE CARE Solar to improve health care for mothers and babies by sending 100 award-winning Solar Suitcases to Ugandan clinics." These suitcases provide health workers with reliable lighting and power.

Besides donating, you can also sign a pledge asking the United Nations and world leaders to support more clean energy solutions. Linkin Park's song may be called "Powerless," but you definitely aren't.
