After everyone got into a tizzy buying gifts on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it's now #GivingTuesday, a campaign asking you to give back. You can give back through money or time, but the idea is to get behind your fave causes today!

#GivingTuesday has hooked up with 2,000 groups including the United Nations, DoSomething.org, and VH1 Save the Music Foundation to get people to take part. Some of the official charities involved are having special initiatives/offers/events/fundraisers to coincide with #GivingTuesday and the holiday season in general.

And keep in mind that #GivingTuesday doesn't just mean giving money. The mission statement explains, "#GivingTuesday is a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations."
