Voting is over for Chase Community Giving (did you vote like La La hoped you would?), and the charities with the most votes are going to be sharing a $5 million donation. One of the winners was the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, started by "Vampire Diaries" hottie and super philanthropist Ian Somerhalder!

Ian, who'd been periodically Tweeting during the voting process to ask for votes and keep us updated, also Tweeted the good news:

There were a few thousand charities in the running, so Ian must've had quite the support from fans! The ISF addresses a bunch of important things -- like green energy and global conservation to help the environment, and helping animals by combating animal cruelty and supporting no-skill shelters.

Earlier this year Ian also started talking about getting an animal sanctuary going. In order to earn funds for that, he even auctioned himself off on a lunch date! (The person who won that was sooo lucky. Jeals.) Putting together an animal sanctuary is no cheap endeavor, but hopefully this $100,000 from Chase Community Giving can help get Ian a step closer to making his dream a reality.

And just because he won $100,000 doesn't mean he's going to sit back and take time off from helping -- this weekend he's also going to be raising funds for his sanctuary by taking part in Strut Your Mutt:
