K'NAAN, Foo Fighters, and many more will take the stage in NYC's Central Park next weekend for a concert to be streamed worldwide. The show will celebrate the impact made on poverty worldwide already, while also raising money and awareness to keep the world mobilized around the cause.  And there's only one way to get in!

If you can be in Central Park on September 29 for the Global Citizen Festival, your only way in is the Global Citizen app! Not in NYC? The app helps you make a difference from anywhere, plus there's a livestream. Next weekend's show is set to be The largest syndicated charity concert in online and broadcast TV history!

More than a billion people live in extreme poverty, which means they can't even get basic necessities, and a new app, Global Citizen, has a proactive way to get people involved. For every action you take, you'll earn points that can get you rewards and badges. The amount of points you get depends on what actions you take. For example, watching a video about extreme poverty gets you one point, but you'll get three points if you sign a petition. Call your representative in Congress and it'll jump to ten points! There are a lot of things you can do to help without opening your wallet, so if money is tight, rest assured you can still do something.

The Global Poverty Project is behind both Global Citizen and the Global Citizen Festival. At the festival, there will be performances by K'NAAN (who got a Best Video With A Message nomination at the 2012 VMAs), Band Of Horses, The Black Keys, and the Foo Fighters, among others. Some other big people who will be at the festival include Selena Gomez, Sophia Bush and Olivia Wilde. Selena Tweeted in advance to let us know about the upcoming event:
